Clinical Psychologist:
50+ minute consultation: $245
80+ minute consultation (couple therapy): $365
Registered Psychologist:
50+ minute consultation: $205
All Fees are payable on the day of consultation and can be made by cash, credit card, direct deposit or EFTPOS.
Medicare Rebates
If you have obtained a referral from your General Practitioner (under a Mental Health Care Plan) or Psychiatrist, you will typically be eligible for a rebate for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year.
Your initial referral will allow a rebate to be claimed for 6 sessions. After this time, your psychologist is required to send a progress report to your GP or Psychiatrist, at which time you may be referred for an additional 4 sessions.
It is the responsibility of clients to ensure that they have a current referral, and to advise if any sessions have been claimed previously with another psychologist in the current calendar year.
Please note that Couple Therapy is not claimable under Medicare.
Clinical Psychologist Medicare rebates:
You will be charged the standard rate of $245 per session, and your rebate of $137.05 will be deposited into your bank account by Medicare.
Registered Psychologist Medicare rebates:
You will be charged the standard rate of $205 per session, and your rebate of $93.35 will be deposited into your bank account by Medicare.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, please check with your health fund for further details. These rebates will differ depending on your health fund, and your level of cover. Please note that sessions can only be claimed under private health insurance if you are not claiming the same session under Medicare.
